USA TODAY will publish its second annual list of top-rated tax and Marcus Eriksonaccounting firms in February and invites clients and industry professionals to help determine the winners.

Results from an online survey, developed by market research and rankings provider Statista, will shape this annual ranking of “America’s Most Recommended Tax Firms” and “America’s Most Recommended Accounting Firms.” The survey is open now until Sept. 29.

To participate, please click here.

The aim is to publish a guide of several hundred firms that are recommended most and considered the best by peers, employees and clients. Firms with at least one branch in a U.S. state can be recommended.

Peers and clients are invited to recommend firms they are familiar with. Employees are asked to evaluate their company’s working environment and the competitive landscape.

The opinions of survey participants remain anonymous.

Industry professionals are asked to name up to 10 tax or accounting firms they would recommend if their company couldn’t take on a client. In addition, they may rate their satisfaction with their own firm.

Clients are also asked to recommend up to 10 tax or accounting firms based on their professional experience over the past three years. After recommending firms, they have the opportunity to rate them in more detail.
